Home Buying Process

Our home buying process is thorough yet simple. Ultimately, EmpireCo. is committed to handing you the keys to your dream home as efficiently as possible. Read on to learn about each step of our process and how you'll be involved along the way.

Getting Started

Step one is an initial consultation meeting with your dedicated EmpireCo. team member. We'll use this time to address any questions you may have and provide key information about the building process, including the current construction phase of your home and what selections remain to be chosen. Your Role During Home Construction

Now the fun begins. Our crew will handle the heavy lifting of building your home, of course, but we'll need your help with several decision points during the process.

Selecting Finishes

During our initial meeting, we will introduce you to our standard finishes and features. You simply tell us which one's you'd like in your home.

Vendors & Labor Selection

Empire Homes works with a trusted group of vendor and trade partners. You may elect to work with any of these vendors for optional upgrades or add-ons.

Optional Upgrades

You may change your mind about something during the construction process—it happens. Simply email your EmpireCo. rep as soon as possible with the update or change order.

Walkthroughs

We'll notify you when your home is ready for a final walkthrough. During this process, you'll complete a Final Walkthrough Form to ensure everything looks as expected.

Home Construction FAQs

This depends on when you are purchasing your home and at what stage in the construction process it is in once you sign your purchase agreement. Our sales team will let you know what phase of construction the house is in so you know exactly which selections still need to be made to complete your project. If design choices aren't your thing, no problem! We work with you to create a space you'll be proud to call home.

All of our active listings showcase a transparent purchase price. We know homeowners don't want to be overwhelmed by additional hidden fees that can add up quickly. Additional costs are only added when optional homeowner upgrades are chosen during the selection process.

Weather can be a factor when it comes to completing the building process of a single family, twin or townhome. The COVID-19 pandemic brought supply chain challenges for builders which added to standard timelines.
